I do not intend to try describing all of the Configuration Management processes that I’ve encountered over the years.  However, several of them are important to System Engineering, and I’ve drafted a brief introduction to them here.

The page isn’t very long, detailed, or thorough.  It does, however tie several loose ends together, and sets up several more, so that there is a bit of a central point for some of the concepts needed elsewhere.
